Film has earned more than 700 million yen since opening on January 4
The official website for the Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow film revealed on Wednesday that the film has sold more than 500,000 tickets at the box office in Japan. The all-new work opened in Japan on January 4.
The film ranked at #8 in its first weekend, and earned 98,963,900 yen (about US$911,690) in its first three days at the box office. The anime has earned a cumulative total of 712,448,400 yen (about US$6.52 million) as of Sunday.
