“And so it is, that ash seeketh embers.”

Greetings ashen one, this time the old lords of cinder are been lil’ bitches, and it’s up to Noro to describe why this game is fucking awesome. Thou may be familiar with this game, or maybe not, in either case I shall be the one to tell you all about this masterpiece (even though everyone already talked about this)

I AM THOU

Dark Souls III is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware. The “fourth” entry in the Souls series (if we count as Demon Souls), Dark Souls III was critically and commercially successful, with critics calling it “a worthy and fitting conclusion to the series”. It was the fastest-selling game in Bandai Namco’s history, shipping over three million copies worldwide within the first two months after release.

THOU ARE I

This game is set in the Kingdom of Lothric, a bell has rung to signal that the First Flame is dying out, as has happened many times before, but hope is not lost, because the Age of Fire can be prolonged with the linking of the fire, a ritual in which great lords and heroes sacrifice their souls to rekindle the First Flame.
However, Prince Lothric, the chosen linker for this age, is been a lil’ bitch and has abandoned his duty and instead chooses to watch the flame die from afar. The bell is the last hope for the Age of Fire, resurrecting previous Lords of Cinder (heroes who linked the flame in past ages) to attempt to link the fire again; however, they also decided to be lil’ bitches and said “fuck that!”.
The Ashen One, an Undead who failed to become a Lord of Cinder and thus called an Unkindled, rises and must beat the living shit out of the lord of cinder and return them to their thrones in Firelink Shrine.

Woah!

Indeed ashen one, this is an epic adventure full of death, betrayal, and game overs. I personally wasn’t interested on dark souls until the end of this year, when the game was on sale for 20 dollars. I bought it because a friend recommend it to me, and I was like, fuck it, why not.
And here I am, already on my third game plus, with a tattoo, and with the special edition that has all the three main games with their respective dlc’s. I felt in love with the series.
The difficulty, the hidden lore, the community, god, this is so cool.
Yes, the game is known for how hard it is, but it’s not impossible. The game asked you to over come the challenge, so each boss defeated it feels like you’ve come a long way. Your journey feels real.
The hidden lore, each item containing a piece of the story, hell, you could finish the game and know zero about what the hell is happening.
The community is mostly friendly, you have your purist and tryhards, but one can find a sunbro almost anywhere.

Anything else?
The music is pretty lit (haha, get it? lit? kindle? :D), I prefer DS3 than the other games, DS1 controls were annoying and DS2 is well, DS2.
I recommend this game to anyone who wants a game that you could play for hours, anyone that wants a challenge.
Truly, a very fun game, plus the glitches are kinda funny.
